Masterclass for professional photographers from Southeastern Europe
The Masterclass aimed to give momentum to the professional development of the participants and strengthen their skills in storytelling. The Masterclass was open to 15 professional photographers with a nationality and residency from one of the following countries within Southeastern Europe: Albania, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Kosovo, Macedonia, Montenegro, Romania or Serbia.
The participants were professional photographer in the field of photojournalism and/or documentary photography, with a minimum of 2 and maximum of 15 years professional working experience.
In September 2010, participants attended a Masterclass in Berlin, Germany. After the Masterclass, all participants were asked to produce a photo story on a certain topic outside of their home country, but within the region of Southeastern Europe. In order to complete the assignment, they received a grant. The results of this assignment were presented to and discussed with the other participants and tutors in a final three-day seminar in Berlin, Germany.
Coinciding with the final seminar in Berlin, ten photo editors from Southeastern European media were invited to a five-day workshop on visual literacy.

Robert Bosch Stiftung is currently planning a travelling exhibition of the photo stories through different European countries in cooperation with World Press Photo Foundation.
