Project Plan
Project
The project outline is the program for the fellowship year. The relationship between the theme and planned internships in organizations must be specified clearly: Which aspect of the project outline should be achieved while working for the relevant organizations, and why are the chosen internships best suited to address the theme.
During the fellowship year, two or three internships take place: in a German organization in Germany or abroad, in the head office of an international organization, and a “field” stage abroad. The selection and order of internships depends on the project goals. Public sector organizations (e.g. UN and UN subsidiary organizations, the World Bank, IMF, OECD, institutions of the European Union, governmental authorities) should take priority in selecting internships. Internships may also take place in globally operating NGOs or companies.
The fellowship focuses on practical work in the selected organizations with the aim of gaining professional experience. The fellowship is not a doctoral program. The project must address a current problem, be practice-oriented and reflect a pro-active approach.
