The Evolution of Homoeopathy - Travelling Exhibition in India
Homoeopathy, whose creation is credited to German physician Samuel Hahnemann (1755–1843), was already well-known in India during his lifetime, where it continues to undergo a unique development process compared to elsewhere. Homoeopathy is more common in India than in most other countries in the world and is a recognised part of its public health care system.
From January 2010 to March 2011, an exhibition toured 21 major cities in India, drawing visitors’ attention to the origins and worldwide development of homoeopathy since Samuel Hahnemann. A supporting programme invited visitors to take a more in-depth look at the diverse history of homoeopathy.
The exhibition was prepared by the Robert Bosch Stiftung’s Institute for the History of Medicine and was presented in cooperation with the Goethe Institutes in India.
