Schülerkolleg International

International Careers Fellowship for High-School Students

The German school system is undergoing many changes, and emphasis is increasingly being placed on career qualifications and internationalization. However, significant global challenges, international relationships, the roles of international and European organizations, and possible international career paths are rarely discussed.

"Schülerkolleg International" wants to make young people curious about globalization and internationality and, at the same time, seeks to provide them with information and assistance to successfully prepare for vocational training and their career.

Up to 30 talented and dedicated students interested in pursuing an international career can apply for the fellowship. They must currently be enrolled in school in grades 10 through 12. In three weekend seminars, the students will meet key players on the national, international, and European business scene, and will become acquainted with a typical workday, different career paths, and various institutions. Another important part of the seminar series is learning skills that are key to an international career such as intercultural communication, presentation and negotiation techniques, and decision-making skills.

Each participant will have a mentor from the Tönissteiner Studentenforum available to them during the entire year, who can provide advice based on their own experiences abroad and during internships.

Schülerkolleg International is a joint initiative by Tönissteiner Kreis e.V. and the Robert Bosch Stiftung.
