Demographically Oriented Human Resource Management in Public Administration

Demographically Oriented Human Resource Management in Public Administration

Demographic changes are not only an important issue for the population of our cities and communities. Public administration authorities are also affected by demographic changes and need to take steps in new directions. Concepts for demographically oriented management, the acquisition of new groups of applicants, initiatives for staff and executive development, more differentiated images of old age, and new approaches to a culture of appreciation among public servants are necessary elements of a modern human resource management.

This is why the Robert Bosch Stiftung has commissioned the study "Demographically Oriented Human Resource Management in Public Administration" and is supporting municipalities in Baden-Württemberg who want to implement convincing concepts for demographically oriented human resource management within their local governments.
