European Citizens' Summit

At the European citizens' summit, 150 citzens from all 27 EU Member States discussed the national recommendations. The result is the "European Citizens' Declaration", which was presented to the public and discussed with present European politicians: José Manuel Barroso, President of the European Commission, Hans-Gert Pöttering, President of the European Parliament, and Commissioner Margot Wallström - as well as the heads of the four major groups of the European Parliament. One result is that citizens wish more common European efforts in the fields of education, climate change and health.
