The German-French Journalism Prize

Since 2008, the Robert Bosch Stiftung has supported the German-French Journalism Prize (DFJP), which was initiated by Saarland Radio in 1983. Today it is one of the biggest and most respected prizes for journalists in Europe. It rewards high quality journalism and especially valuable contributions by German and French journalists in the areas of radio, television, print media, and the Internet. For the jury is critical, that the journalists have contributed to the advancement of German-French relations by either encouraging mutual understanding or by dealing with topics concerning the neighboring country or European questions.

The prize aims at offering an incentive for journalists to deal thoroughly with the neighboring country, and to strengthen German-French news coverage.

Application period for the 2012 German-French Journalism Prize ends March 1, 2012.
