German-Russian Media Dialog
4th Annual German-Russian Media Forum, February 2011
The Robert Bosch Stiftung recently invited leading German and Russian journalists to the fourth annual German-Russian Media Forum. This exchange of opinions and ideas was held in Berlin from February 6 to 8, 2011, and its headline topic was “Germany and Russia: Social Change and Modernization.” As such, the 2011 forum not only picked up on the debate over modernization currently unfolding in Russia, but also on a question relevant to both countries: What effects do social changes have on a country’s political culture, and what are the consequences of such changes for those who work in the field of journalism?
Experts from think tanks and the world of science added to the discussion, and topically related supporting program with the ability to conduct research entitled “Berlin has Berlinale Fever,” rounded out the three-day event.
