ESOF 2008 in Barcelona
After Stockholm and Munich, Barcelona was selected as the venue for the third pan-European science conference, the Euroscience Open Forum 2008. This conference, which offers a window on European science, will take place in the Catalonian capital from July 18 to 22, 2008.
As in the last two years, the conference will focus on selected topics from the full spectrum of research and trends in the sciences, humanities and social sciences. The steering committee will be chaired by Dr. Ingrid Wünning, head of the Science and Research program area in the Robert Bosch Stiftung, and Professor Enric Banda, director of innovation and environment of the Catalan company "La Seda de Barcelona".
The Robert Bosch Stiftung will once again be involved in this event in a leading capacity and will contribute € 200,000 in funding. The foundation was also inviting applications for travel grants by young science journalists wishing to visit the conference in Barcelona.
