„Denkwerk“ - foster interest in research among school students

Stuttgart, March 4, 2008 – “Denkwerk” networks school students, teachers and humanities scholars. For the third time, Robert Bosch Stiftung has launched this program to support projects, which link schools with research. This year, the foundation is providing 500,000 euros to fund the program. Regional teams of researchers and teachers can apply until April 30, 2008.

In doing so, the “Denkwerk” program also offers orientation to these young people in their decision regarding the choice of studies and career. The basic prerequisites of academic work, such as methodical thought and rational argumentation are also taught.

Robert Bosch Stiftung launched “Denkwerk” in 2004. Since then, it has provided total funding of 1.1 million euros for 30 cooperation projects. The participants in the program are humanities and social science scholars in universities and other research institutions, teachers and school students in all types of secondary schools.
