Application Process

Deadline for applications
To be considered in the selection process, your complete application materials must be submitted before the deadline. Applications may only be submitted using Robert Bosch Stiftung’s online application website. Applications sent by mail will be not be considered and will not be returned.
End-March 2012
Invitations to the selection interviews mailed
Applicants not selected initially will be informed by e-mail at the end of March. These applicants may be selected at a later stage if other candidates withdraw.
April 16 – 20 and 23, 2012
Selection interviews held at the Robert Bosch Stiftung in Stuttgart
The selection interviews will typically be held in groups of three and will be approximately 45-60 minutes long. The selection committee is comprised of representatives from the Robert Bosch Stiftung, the Eastern European Center, and the University of Hildesheim. The group interview is not intended to test group dynamics.
End-April 2012
Letters of acceptance mailed
Some acceptance letters may not be sent until July as a result of changes at host universities made on short notice.
May to July 2012
In some cases, additional selection interviews may be held.
Mid-July 2012
End of the application process
Unsuccessful applicants will be sent rejection letters and their application documents will be returned.
July 1 – 8, 2012
Preparatory Seminar
An introduction to the program for the lecturers selected for the 2012/13 academic year, held in Krzyżowa, Poland (attendance is mandatory)
August 10 – 16, 2012
Training in methodology and teaching skills
Individually-organized intensive language courses (if required); departure of lecturers to host countries.
