Born in 1977 in Barcelona (Spain).
Completed medical studies at the University of Barcelona in 2001, with final year spent at Freie Universität Berlin. Research project on the “Quality of Care of Elderly People with Diabetes Mellitus in Care Homes and Outpatient Services” under Prof. Schulze at Universitätsklinikum Carl-Gustav-Carus, Technische Universität Dresden, funded by the German Academic Exchange Service and “La Caixa” (2002-2003).
European PhD Program on “New Aspects of Epidemiology, Biostatistics, Public and Community Health” supervised by Prof. F. Guillén at the Department of Epidemiology, Universidad Pública de Navarra (since 2003).
Clinical work under Dr. Becker in the geriatric rehabilitation clinic at Robert-Bosch-Krankenhaus in Stuttgart (2004 to May 2005).
Research- Currently preparing and carrying out a secondary analysis of data from a study into “Improved mobility and prevention of falls of care-dependent elderly people living at home” relating to incontinence and mobility:
- Relationships between mobility and incontinence
- Can incontinence be improved through physical training?
- Does incontinence reduce participation in training groups?
- Clinical work in the area of partial hospitalization rehabilitation in day clinics

The quality of care in nursery homes and outpatient services for care-dependent people with diabetes mellitus
