Trainee Program

The Robert Bosch Stiftung's trainee program is intended for university graduates (with German Diplom or master's degrees), ideally those that have recently earned their degree or have had a chance to gather some initial professional experience.

What you can expect:
As a participant in the trainee program, you will learn Foundation management in a practical setting. This is an 18-month program in which you will spend five months each in two different program areas, two-and-a-half months in a communications department, two-and-a-half months in an administrative department, and three months in an external position. You will acquire extensive knowledge about the way a private foundation active in the public domain operates, as well as how it provides support. You will systematically develop both specialized and management expertise as a result of your wide-ranging duties in various projects and throughout the course of daily operations. We also support you with comprehensive advanced training courses.

The contract term is initially limited to two years.

What we expect:
  • A university degree or doctorate in the humanities, social sciences, or economics, with above average grades.
  • Some professional experience
  • A stay abroad of at least six months
  • A sense of responsibility and independence
  • Initiative and a willingness to work hard and go the extra mile
  • Extracurricular activities
  • Team spirit and social skills
  • Intercultural skills
  • Excellent English language skills (both written and verbal)
  • Knowledge of other languages is beneficial
