Center for Central and Eastern Europe of the Robert Bosch Stiftung

Center for Central and Eastern Europe of the Robert Bosch Stiftung at the German Council on Foreign Relations (DGAP) manages and supports several programs for networking and supporting future decision-makers and young scientists from Central and Eastern Europe and Germany. For example, the center coordinates The Diplomats' College, the Doctoral Candidates College of the Lectureship Program, and the management of seminars at Carl Friedrich Goerdeler-Kolleg.

The center is also involved in planning and implementing international projects on current political themes and the analysis of political processes and social discourse in Central and Eastern Europe. The center cooperates with other institutions and foundations in the region.

The Robert Bosch Stiftung and the DGAP have been working on joint projects for Central and Eastern Europe since the late 1970s. These projects aim to foster exchange between Germany and its eastern neighbors in the spirit of international understanding. To develop thematic synergies and bundle competences, the foundation instituted the Center for Central and Eastern Europe at the DGAP. The center opened on May 15, 2007.
