Economic and Political Reporting from Southeast Europe

To foster quality analysis and reporting on economic issues, enhance coverage on topics that are central to the region’s economic and political development and encourage regional networking among journalists, the Robert Bosch Stiftung and the Thomson Reuters Foundation initiated the Program "Economic and Political Reporting from Southeast Europe" in 2007.

Up to 16 journalists from  Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Greece, Kosovo, Macedonia, Montenegro, Romania, Serbia, Slovenia and Turkey are competitively chosen to participate in the program. The program, run by experienced Thomson Reuters staff, includes two courses of two weeks each, in Germany and in the UK respectively. Participants also meet with policymakers, representatives from business, civil society and media.

In April 2017, the first training takes place in London. The second part of the training is scheduled from 03 to 16 September in Berlin.
